A sequel to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was released on Netflix in 2016. Other films, like Adam Sandler's The Ridiculous Six, will launch exclusively on the service, much to the chagrin of major theater chains. This type of release is something Netflix first tried with this year's Beasts of No Nation.
